BJP state president K Surendran said that the Chief Minister turned against the national investigation agencies when he came to know that the investigation in the gold smuggling case was against him. He said in a statement that the CM was trying to sabotage the investigation as it was entering a critical stage.
It is ridiculous that the Chief Minister, who had sent a letter to the Prime Minister asking for an inquiry by the National Investigation Agencies, has sent another letter to the Prime Minister on the eve of the elections asking him to recall the probe team.
Now everyone knew who had the weight on their laps. Asked what the evidence is against his Additional Secretary, the Chief Minister should explain why he did not appear before the ED. If CM Raveendran is not at fault, then he should answer the question as to why he is in the hospital pretending to be sick and not afraid of ED. The Chief Minister, who is trying to save the Additional Secretary with the help of the Health Department, is trying to influence the dream by using the Jail Department to escape from the gold smuggling case. Central agencies are not the ones who kneel before the threat of the Chief Minister. They will return only after the investigation is completed and the culprits are brought before the full law. Surendran said he was attacking the BJP for exposing the corruption of the chief minister and the government.
