24 Covid-19 new cases today in Kerala

24  people are confirmed as COVID 19 positive,today in Kerala. Five patients have been recovered .
Situation in Kozhikode
Calicut district witnesses the confirmation of another Covid 19 positive case as Dr. V Jayasree, District Medical Health officer announces a patient from Arikulam of 22 years of age, who arrived from Mumbai found positive.
The person arrived on May 11th, night from Mumbai through bus, and reached Koyilandi at morning 8:30am and was under observation at Arikulam Corona Care Center. On May 17th,the person was found having symptoms of the disease and was shifted to Kozhikode Corona Firstline Treatment Centre. He was tested positive. His current health status is stable.
With this, the number of corona patients in the district becomes 36, out of which 24 have recovered and rest 12 people of the district and 2 people from other state are under treatment.
Today, 86 samples were sent for testing. A total of 3044 samples have been sent and out if it, 2978 results have arrived. Out of the results, 2934 are negative. 66 results are yet to be received.


Positive cases;state trend
24 people have been confirmed with COVID 19. 5 recovered. The positive cases were found as: Palakkad-7, Malappuram- 4, Kannur- 3, Pathanamthitta, Thiruvananthapuram, Thrissur- 2 each, Kasargod, Kozhikode, Ernakulam, Alapuzhya- 1 each. The negative cases of the day are 2 from Thrissur, 1 each from Kannur, Wayanad and Kasaragod.
12 people out if the positive cases are from foreign countries. 8 are from Maharashtra, and 3 from Tamil Nadu. One case from Kannur through contact.
A total of 666 people are confirmed in the State until today, out of which 161 are under treatment. 74,398 people are under observation, out of which 73,865 are under home isolation and 533 are in the hospital. 156 people were admitted to the hospital today. Total samples tested are 48,543, out of which 46,961 are negative.
6090 samples are tested under sentinel surveillance out of which 5728 are negative. There are no hotspots.
We are moving towards a more critical situation as stated yesterday. Even though there are allowances in the restrictions of the lockdown, the coming days will require more restrictions in special areas.

SSLC,Plus Two exams to begin on 26

The exam dates are rescheduled again. The permission to undertake examinations has beeen given by the central government. The 10th and 12th standard exams will be scheduled from March 26, says Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
