24 emigrants to return to their home today from Covid Care Centers

24 emigrants who were  staying at Government Covid Care Centers will return to their homes  on May 22.
22 people from Chathamangalam NIT campus Management Studies Hostel and 2 people who were staying on paid quarantine will be returning home after completing their 14 days observation. They’ll be taken home in their own vehicles by morning 8am.
The people who arrived on the night of May 7th at Kozhikode airport through Dubai Airplane were shifted to observation camps by early morning of 8th of May. Out of these, one person with COVID Symptoms and one other person with some other disease were shifted to the hospital. The rest are returning home tomorrow.
The people returning home should stay under quarantine in their homes for another 14 days. After that they can attain a certificate of completion of observation through the nearest PHC. If the person gets any symptoms of the disease during this time period, he/she can contact the nearest government hospital through phone and attain health services. People having visible symptoms should not go directly to the hospitals for treatment as informed by District Health Officer Jayasree V.
There are total  22 Corona Care Center for observation in the district. Out of these, 13 centres are working. Also, 4 Paid Care Centers are also available.
Currently 352 people are under observation in Covid care centers. Out of these, 15 people are in  paid centres. Other than GCC countries, the emigrants are from England, Russia, Philipines and Malaysia. There are also 35 people from Maldives who arrived through ships under observation.
