‘Aayiram Pani Sala’, a project designed for making employment opportunity for the rural folk has begun at Thamarassery in Kozhikode. Minsiter for panchayath and social justice Dr.M.K.Muneer inaugurated the project.
The scheme proposed by the Thamarasseri panchayat is funded by the State Minority Development Commission for rupees 50 lakh as first installment.
The self-employment scheme is jointly implemented with the support of the Kudumbashree, and the CDS (Community Development Scheme)
Cafes, hotels, poultry farms can be run by the relatives of Kudumbashree workers under this scheme. Training program for self-employment will also be given under the scheme.to the aspiring self-employees.
