The Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram has invited applications for the entrance examinations for admission to the Medical, Engineering and other allied degree courses in various Professional Colleges in the State for the year 2016-17. The examinations, known as KEAM (Kerala Engineering Agriculture Medical) Exam 2016 is a state level entrance examination for the admission to various colleges and institutions located in Kerala state for UG programmes. The entrance examinations will be conducted for admission to the following courses:(a) Medical (i) MBBS (ii) BDS (iii) BHMS (iv) BAMS (v) BSMS (vi) BUMS
(b) Agriculture (i) BSc. (Hons.) Agriculture (ii) BSc. (Hons.) Forestry
(c) Veterinary BVSc. & AH
(d) Fisheries BFSc.
(e) Engineering B.Tech. [including B.Tech. (Agri. Engg.) & B.Tech. (Food Engg.) Courses under the Kerala Agricultural University, B.Tech. (Dairy Science & Tech.) & B.Tech. (Food Technology) courses under the Kerala Veterinary & Animal Sciences University]
(f) Architecture B.Arch. (No Entrance Examination. Admission is based on merit as assessed by equal weightage to NATA Score and marks/grades in the Qualifying Examination).
The CEE will conduct separate Entrance Examinations for admission to Engineering Courses and Medical & Allied Courses. The CEE will not conduct any Entrance Examination for admission to B.Arch. course. However, candidates seeking admission to B.Arch. course should compulsorily appear and qualify the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the National Institute of Advanced Studies in Architecture (NIASA) before05.06.2016.
Eligibility criteria:
The candidates must have passed Class 12 examination with PCM (for engineering courses) or PCB (for all other courses excluding engineering courses) with minimum of 50 percent marks in core subject (Mathematics/ Biology) and at least of 50 percent in total aggregate. Candidates who have engineering diploma with at least 50 percent marks can also apply for the exam.
The KEAM Engineering entrance exam for Engineering courses except Architecture will be held on April 25, 2016(Paper I) and April 26, 2016 (Paper II) while the KEAM Medical entrance exam for Medical/Agriculture/Veterinary/Fisheries Courses will be held on April 27, 2016(Paper I) and April 28, 2016 (Paper II).
Candidates satisfying the eligibility conditions as laid down in the Prospectus and who seek admission to all the above mentioned courses have to apply online on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinationswww.cee.kerala.gov.in from 3 January 2016 to 29 January 2016.
Mode of submitting Online Application:
(a) Online submission of application is required to apply for the Entrance Examination for admission to all the courses (Medical, Engineering and Architecture) through the official website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,www.cee.kerala.gov.in . If a candidate submits more than one application his/her candidature is liable to be cancelled. (b) All candidates are required to apply online through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in for the Entrance Examination for admission to Medical, Agriculture, Veterinary, Fisheries, Engineering and Architecture Courses.

General candidates – Rs.1000/- , SC candidates – Rs.500/-, ST candidates – No Application Fee
Last date and time for receipt of the Printout of the Application:
The Printout of the Application and other relevant documents, to be submitted with the Application, are to be enclosed and sent in the printed envelope bearing the address of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, supplied along with the Prospectus, so as to reach him before 5 p.m. on 30.01.2016 (Saturday), by Hand Delivery/Registered Post/Speed Post. Completed Applications will be received in the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations on holidays also. Belated applications will be rejected.
The Entrance Examinations and the subsequent allotments will be based on the various provisions laid down in the Prospectus approved by the Government. Prospectus for the KEAM Entrance Examinations 2016 is available on the website of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, “www.cee-kerala.org”.
