Boby Chemmanur will donate 2 acres of plot at Kalpetta town , worth roughly Rs.12 Crore for victims of recent landslides and floods at Puthumalayil in Wayanad. This was disclosed in a meeting held at Wayanad Collectorate on Wednesday.
The beneficiaries of the compassionate initiative are people who lost their homes and livelyhood in the recent landslide,followed by a flood.The proposed land will be used to build homes for the disaster-affected people.
There was a meeting in this regard at the collectorate, which was attended by minister Kadannappally Ramachandran,C.K.Saseendran MLA, and the district collector.
The plot is taken from the 10 acre land ,owned by Life Vision Charitable Trust,a shelter home for destitutes run by Boby Chemmanur.
