As far as the final degree results are concerned,it is the first result since the corona virus outbreak and the lock down, there after.

Final BSc result will be published on July 8 and Distance Education degree result on July 10.

Calicut is the first University in the state which can publish the final degree results, while in other universities, the exams were either not completed or the evaluation of the scripts still remaining incomplete.

Roughly, one lakh students appeared for degree sixth semester examination.

The exams were conducted in the first week of March 2020 and could be completed before the lock down was enforced.

In Calicut, the answers scripts were entrusted with the examiners for evaluation at the specially designed valuation camps with a definite time schedule for evaluation and collection of marks.

The varsity had a herculean task in accelerating the process of evaluation of scripts and collection of marks from chief examiners of various valuation camps located in different centres.

The tabulation work too was a harder effort on the part of the examination wing staff. With the offices in the exam wing remaining closed or functioned with the minimum staff during the lockdown period, the tabulation work was not going on in a vibrant mode. Still, the staff worked hard to publish the results before June 30. They worked extra hours to complete the task.
In the previous years, the varsity could publish the final year degree results around the middle of May. The Covid-19 pandemic and the lock down subverted the various exam schedule of the varsity.

For the first time in the history of the Calicut University, the pass board meeting of examiners to fix moderation was held through online mode.
