Centenary celebrations for Calicut Co-operative Urban Bank

MT  Vasudevan Nair inaugurates the centenary celebrations of Calicut  Co-operative Urban Bank at Kallayi Road in Kozhikode.

Noted writer M.T.Vasudevan Nair has said that co-operative banks are doing a significant contribution to the financial sector .These banks help to make great change in the developmental process.

He was inaugurating the centenary celebrations of the Calicut Co-operative Urban Bank,at Kallayi Road.

When financial crisis grabbed Bangladesh,the co-operative sector was the only system to revive from a decline.-he pointed out.

Common people depend co-op banks rather than other banks.Co-op banks can do many things in every aspect of human life. ”

‘Book publishing sector is an instance in this sector’-M.T said.

New generation banks are lacking humanitarian outlook.-he said.

He also said that common men were well-treated by co-operative banks than new generation or corporate banks, by sharing his own experience in the banking field.

The bank chairman A.T.Abdulla Koya welcomed the gathering and vice president V.S.Gopakumar expressed vote of thanks.Various dignitaries in the banking and co-operative sector attended.
