Chingapuram CKGMHSS students bag National award for children’s film

‘Adyem Poothyem’ ,a film produced by the students of Chingapuram C.K.G.Memorial Higher Secondary  School has bagged two awards in the 20th All India Children’s Educational Audio Video Festival 2015 (AICEAV 2015),jointly organised by the National Council of  Educational Research and Training (NCERT) and  the Central Institute of Educational Technology (CIET) held in New Delhi,recently.

The film tells the story of friendship between boys and girls in a positive way.

The title of the film Adyem Poothyem ( Start againis a colloquial term used by children during their games in Malabar.The film bagged the best film and the best script awards.

Thira,the film club at this school took the initiative to make this movie ,a reality,with the  financial contributions received from parents and local community.

The  full-hearted support of the school management and Staff also helped to complete the project.

Adhyem Poothyem  raises a relevant question in contemporary society regarding gender discrimination

When friendships and companion-ships too become compartmentalized on the basis of gender,the film questions the society’s attitude on friendships.Still, the society  taboos even the good friendly relations between girls and boys.

Girls are getting tuned in a manner where she suffers a sort of inferiority complex.It is applicable in her school,house and playgrounds.The film points out the society’s role in  this  system of bringing up children.

Roshan, Krishnendu, Aswanth, Amal Raj, Ajay Kumar, Manu Nath, Devanath, Hafis Abhinav, Akshay Sharoon, the students  belong to the film club acted in various roles along with Jaya Krishnan Sathyan Mudra, Muhammad Eravattur, Balachandran N ewmen’s,Ratheesh Malayil, Usha Chandra Babu,Sathi .

Maneesh Yathra is the director and  K.Ranjith ,the script writer of Adhyem Poothyem.

Meanwhile, the school team could not attend the award  distribution ceremony due to the delayed message on the part of the NCERT, New Delhi said CK.G.M.H.S.S authorities during a press meet in Kozhikode.

E.K.Ajith Master, Valsaraj .P,Krishnendu B.K,Roshan, Headmistress Baby Vinodini, K.Ranjith,E.Suresh Babu ManeeshYathra took part in the press meet.
