Cinema has become a celebration of visuals since the development of technology,said M.K Raghavendra,a film critic.He was addressing a seminar on Film criticism and theory at Malayalam University,today.
He said,”When technology leads in cinema sector ,the film art is decaying.”
“For reasonable analysing of cinematic art’s magic level and leading audience community,film criticism is necessary. However,film criticism sector is in crisis. “-said Raghavendra.
Variety in narration makes movies different art form,opined Dr.Umar Tharamal. “When viewers enjoy cinema ,comfortably without identifying shots and cuts,film’s duty as art form succeeds.”-he added.
Academic dean Prof.M.Sreenathan presided.Head of the Department in Film Studies Prof.Madhu Iravankara ,R.Vidya,P.K.Sujith,M.A.Anagha spoke.
