Class IX student’s story during on Covid-19 lock down goes viral on social media

Hana Khais, a student of the Indian School Bahrain (ISB), has become internet famous after she published a teen fiction on Wattpad, a website for writers to publish new user-generated stories, according to the information from her parents.
Hana’s novel ‘Hailey’ posted on Wattpad, has racked up more than 142K Reads and 5.4K Votes as of today. It’s a teen fiction having 36 chapters which Hana started posting on October 16, 2020 amidst Covid-19 lockdown in Bahrain. The fiction is centred on Hailey Andrews, a 14-year-old teenage girl who had no friends and who kept to herself, harboured a huge secret and
refrained from telling anyone.’
“This is my first book. The story is a pure figment of my imagination”, says Hana. “Instead of battling boredom while isolated indoors, thanks to the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic, I used my time to boost my creativity”, she added. Hana who also keeps a brilliant academic record, would like to publish her book in the immediate future.
Her story ‘Hailey’ has the following highest rankings on Wattpad: #1 in Broken, #4 in Teen Fiction, #6 in Truth , #1 in Sister,#2 in Life-changing,#15 in Happy,#12 in Secrets.A student of class IX at ISB, Hana is hit with a slew of praise from social media users including one reader saying ‘I hope you grow to be a great author’ and another calling it ‘an amazing stuff.’

Hana Khais, who joined the ISB in 2019, is the daughter of Bahrain-based businessman Khais Thayattumpali and Nadeera KM, a teacher at Al Noor International School. Her siblings Anam Khais and Niya Amina Khais are also students at the Indian School Bahrain. The family hails from Kozhikode district of Kerala state, India.
