Roughly 50 persons in Kozhikode district are under observation in the wake of recent corona outbreak in China.All these are returnees from China during the period between 31 December and January 7. All these people are quarantined.
However,none of these people show any symptoms of the deadly illness.
In China, corona case was confirmed on January 7.
A meeting was held in Kozhikode to chart out awareness campaigns in the district .Private, government doctors took part in the meeting,convened by District Medical Officer Dr.V.Jayasree.
Handsanitizer,triple layer masks are to be kept in every hospitals.
Apart from China,around ten countries are prone to Corona threat,according to WHO. The DMO has issued circular to tourism operators too in the wake of WHO warning.
In case of emergency, isolation wards are to be arranged in Kozhikode Medical College and Beach Hospital.
