Puthiyappa harbor becomes a containment zone
Puthiyappa harbor in Kozhikode closed as part of Covid-19 preventive measures. It is due to the visiting of a covid patient in harbor.
The Covid-19 patient reportedly visited the harbour contacted many, here and it raised the concern of social spread of coronavirus.
The fisheries deputy director informed that all other harbours will function normally. He also cautioned against the fake news on Koyilandi harbour spread in social media creating panic among people.
Meanwhile, the health officials urged peope to keep social distancing including fishermen to avoid coronavirus spread.
