Coronavirus;special squads deployed in these towns in Kozhikode

 
As part of coronavirus prevention measures, Kozhikode district administration has formed special squads  Quick Response Team) to monitor violation of  social distancing and other Covid-19 protocols in towns. Local revenue officials will lead the team,comprising police and local body members.The District Collector has issued circular in this regard to the concerned,revenue and police officers.
The special team will take stock of the situation regarding the violation of Covid-19 protocols in these towns. Marriages,funeral ceremonies and all celebrations will be strictly monitored.

 In Kozhikode district,  82 Covid-19 positive cases and two more deaths have been reported ,said Kozhikode District Medical Officer Dr. VJayashree. 
 With this, 510 Kozhikode residents are undergoing treatment for Covid 19.  Of these, 117 are at Kozhikode Medical College, 136 at Lakshadweep Guest House, Kozhikode, which is a First Line Treatment Center (FLTC), 216 at Kozhikode NIT FLTC, 31 at Farook FLTC and 2 at Malappuram. 
  Three people who came from abroad were reported positive  :
Two men (52), (32) from Kundamangalam and one (36) from Chaliyam.
Two people from other states are also tested positive:
One male (40) from Kundamangalam and a female (45) from Vadakara.
   74 were positive through local transmission:
  Chekkad – 26, Tiruvallur – 10, Purameri – 2, Kozhikode Corporation – 15, Kunnamangalam – 6, Vadakara – 6, Perumanna – 1, Olavanna – 1,
 Thiruvangoor-1, Madappally-1, Villappally-1, Edachery-1, Koyilandy Municipality-1. (and two deaths from Kozhikode Corporation who were diagnosed through local transmission).
 Unknown sources
 
 There are three Covid-19  patients whose source of transmission unknown:
 Kuttyadi – Female (22), Edachery – Male (65), Tiruvallur – Female (40).
