Covid confirmed to four more, Including a one-year-old child in the district.Kozhikode District Medical Officer Dr. Jayasree V has confirmed that four more people including a one-year-old boy have been confirmed COVID positive. Two came from Chennai and two from abroad.

A 48-year-old man from Kuttiyadi is the first patient. On May 14th, he came to Kuttiyadi in his own vehicle from Chennai and was under observation. On May 29, his sample was tested and result came positive. He is currently undergoing treatment at Covid First Line Treatment Center, Lakshadweep Guest House, Kozhikode.

The second person is a 48 year old resident of Eramala. He left Chennai on May 27 and reached Kozhikode on May 28. He was admitted to the First Line Treatment Center, Kozhikode after being tested positive.

The third man is a 64-year-old Mavoor resident. On May 20, he came through flight from Riyadh, and reached Kannur. He was transported to Kozhikode in a government vehicle and was under observation at Mavoor’s Corona Care Center. He was admitted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital on May 22 as he showed symptoms.

The fourth is a one-year-old child from Koduvalli, who came accompanied by it’s mother on May 18 from Qatar. On May 28, the child was taken Kozhikode Medical College and was admitted to the Maternity Care Center after seeing the symptoms. The health condition of the four patients is now satisfactory.

With this, the total number of Kozhikode-based Coivid-positive cases reached 64. 28 recovered. At present 36 people from Kozhikode are being treated. Of these, 17 are in Kozhikode Medical College, 15 in First Line Treatment Center, Lakshadweep Guest House in Kozhikode, 3 in Kannur and one in Manjeri Medical College.

In addition, one resident from Malappuram, 3 from Kasargod, one from Thrissur are at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital and one patient from Thrissur is being treated with COVID 19 at MVR Cancer Center.

Today 181 samples were sent for inspection. Out of a total of 4736 samples sent for inspection, 4513 results were obtained. Of these, 4433 are negative. 223 results are yet to be received.
