While Kerala Government has established the APJ Abdul Kalam University for the entire technical education in the state segregating all Engineering colleges to its fold except the colleges run directly by the Universities since 2015, CUSAT has retained its glory in the arena of technical education with new advancements in tune with the latest technology. For a first in its history, the Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) completed the first semester examination of its B-Tech course and published the results in record time. Cusat conducted the examination for 570 students at School of Engineering (SoE) on the Thrikkakara campus and 270 students of Cochin University College of Engineering Kuttanad (CUCEK) at Pulinkunnu from December 7 and 18.
While CUSAT with its legacy issues managed to conduct the first semester examinations on time, students of the new Kerala Technological University will enter the second semester on January 20 after missing all the dates originally announced, including a semester break.
