Dilapidated roads:Development Council demands quick action

The District Development Council has demanded a quick action in repairing roads.

Muttungal-Nadapuram Road, Iringannur -Edacheri Road, Valayam-Chuzhali Road, Thottilppalam-Kunduthodu Road are in pathetic condition and vehicular service is getting affected.Potholes on the road pose threat to safe driving.
Bus owners and taxi operators are on the protest path in these areas and soon they would stop service-the council warned.

Due to flooded rivers during monsoon, farming in Cheruvadi, Pannikkottoor area of Kodiyathur Panchayatah has been badly hit.Thousands of hectares of paddy field are submerged under water.

The district collector should intervene into the suicide of Nadakkavu Civil Police officer Shaji,said Purushan Katalundi M.L.A in the council meet.

K.Dasana M.L.A demanded that adequate safety measures to be taken to ensure safety of workers in the wake of the manhole tragedy occured at Thali in Kozhikode.
A,C.Moyin Kutty M.L.A said K.S.R.T.C buses are cutting trips to high-range area.This undeclared trip cancellations cause severe difficulties to passengers,including large number of students.

Another major concern raised by the M.L.As are the anxiety of coastal people on their building permits.The council asked the government to do urgent measures to end the anxiety of the affected people.
