Former Kozhikode Corporation Mayor and CPI(M) leader M. Bhaskaran is no more.He breathed his last at Kozhikode Eranhipalam Co-operative Hospital.He was 77.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that Bhaskaran’s death was a great loss to the Left movement and the co-operative sector.
CM’s condolence message:
He was a Deshabhimani employee and entered politics through the Kerala State Youth Federation. As the Mayor, he has made great contributions to the development of the city of Kozhikode. He had a unique ability to plan imaginatively and execute them with determination. As a member of the CPI (M) District Secretariat, he also excelled in organizational matters. In his condolence note, the Chief Minister said that he has played an important role in the development and modernization of the Kozhikode District Co-operative Hospital.

He started his public life through the youth movement and was a prominent figure in the public life of Kozhikode. He played an important role in organizing the workers and people of Kozhikode and the surrounding areas. M Bhaskaran was a great contributor to the urban development of Kozhikode.
He was the President of the District Co-operative Hospital and led the development activities of the hospital.
He was a patriotic employee for a long time and was also an excellent organizer.
In his condolence message, the minister said that Bhaskaran’s departure was a great loss to the Left movement.

M. Bhaskaran is one of the leading architects of development in Kozhikode.
He contributed lot in the co-operative sector including the development of Town Co-operative Bank and Co-operative Hospital . During his tenure as the Mayor ,the construction of major roads and flyovers in Kozhikode became reality.
