Ezhacheri Ramachandran receives Vayalar Rama Varma Lit award

The 44th Vayalar Rama Varma Literary Award presentation ceremony was held at the Raj Bhavan.  Ezhacheri Ramachandran received the award from Governor  Arif Muhammad Khan.

Ezhacheri Ramachandran’s ‘A Virginian Summer’ was selected for the prize. The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh and a bronze sculpture made by renowned sculptor Kanai Kunhiraman in bronze.

Apart from the Governor, only the award winner and members of the Vayalar Rama Varma Memorial Trust were present at the award presentation ceremony,

Trust President  Perumbadavam Sreedharan presided over the function. Prabhavarma welcomed the gathering. Prof.  G. Balachandran, Trust Secretary  C. V. Trivikraman spoke. The Vayalar Sahitya Award Ceremony has been conducting for the last 44 years,

Vayalar Ganasandhya was also held in connection with the award presentation.
The program used online systems differently from previous years in terms of Covid restrictions. The evet was open to the public through Facebook and YouTube pages.
