FIrst convocation ceremony at Malayalam University
Kerala Governor Justice P.Sathasivam inaugurated the first graduation ceremony of Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University on Tuesday at Aksharam campus.
He said that the university will be renowned by the students who have gone out with degrees from here.
The graduates who leave this university should promote and act as ambassadors by contributing in the growth of their alma mater.-the governor urged.
If Malayalam is just one among the Dravidian languages ,it has great heritage and enriched literature.
This language has received Jnanpith award many times.G.Sankara Kurup,,S.K.Pottekkat, M.T,O.N.V credited the award to the Malayalam language.
Malayalam University could maintain its glory and identity even it was nourished with the help of other languages.
The language has immense contribution in the socio-cultural development of Kerala-he said.
Pro-Chancellor and Minsiter for Education P.K.Abdu Rabb presided over the function.
“The paradigm shift university has shown in academic brilliance is quite optimistic. “-said minister P.K.Abdu Rabb.
The university will have a vital role in the formation of future Kerala.-he added.
Ninety five students received their degree in linguistics, media studies,Malayalam literature, and Malayalam literary writing.

The university is moving with a great mission and vision.It is guided in a right path. A university can work as a change agent in the society with its various activities. This university has proved that how could a university uplift a society both educationally and culturally -the minister said.
