A protest march , organized by the Fraternity Movement (FM) began from Beypore Karimpadam colony in Kozhikode. FM Kozhikode district president Muneeb Elankamal’s march will cover backward areas in the district that face digital divide in online education.
Fraternity State Secretariat member Syed Umar Thangal inaugurated the event. He said that despite online education entering its second year, the government has not yet been able to resolve the crisis. He urged the government to take immediate steps to make online education available to all students without discrimination.
The protest march Captain Muneeb Elankamal, Vice Captain Ayesha Manna, District General Secretary Labib Kayakodi, Welfare Party District Vice President P. C Muhammad Kutty, Welfare Party Constituency Convener M. A Khayyu District Secretary Musab Alavi and Beypore Constituency Convener Hasan Saleh spoke.
On the first day , the march covered Karimpadam , Chakum Kadavu, Shanthi Nagar, Punnassery, Edavalathu,and Mattumuri colonies that are being faced difficulty in online education in the district.
The campaign team will visit various areas of the district facing online education crisis. The team will also meet the people’s representatives and education officers in the district to discuss the hurdles in online education . The two-day strike will end in Kuttyadi town on Thursday evening.
