Friday ‘jummah’ at mosques: maximum number 40

 
 
No prayers allowed in containment zones
 
Kozhikode District Collector  V.Smab Siva Rao said maximum number of devotees at mosques during Friday jummah  should not exceed 40 people,in the wake of increased number of locally transmitted coronavirus cases in Kozhikode.
Those who stay at home quarantine and their relatives should not attend. Those who have recently arrived from foreign countries, other states, or from the containment zones in other districts and have symptoms should not attend the prayers. Keep a register of those who attend the prayer. There should be maximum control over the participation of those over 65 years of age. The collector also said that social distance should be maintained. Prayers are not allowed in mosques in the cantonment zones.
