GAF sets new trend

Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF) turns  to be a memorable event in the history of Calicut thanks to the huge participation from different walks of life in a much specialized event.The meet  has become a destination of sharing ideas,discussing latest trends and developments that emerged in this Indian tradition of wellness and peace.

 

Languages,cultures and geographical boundaries melt away at this venue,where teachers and students become equal learners in different levels.Various seminars on Ayurveda are taking place every day.Each and every sessions seriously ask questions of the revival of the holistic approach in medicine.

 

There are many areas of this treatment still untapped. 

GAF is a meeting point of many foreign doctors who fight in their countries for legalizing ayurveda treatment as a medical system.

Most of them are ambassadors of Ayurveda in their respective countries.

 

The focal theme of the summit being ‘Women’s health’,the festival discusses ayurveda for Women by presenting around 87 papers on women’s health issues such as life style diseases,obesity,menstrual disorders,management of fibroid,guileless menopause through ayurveda,maternal health and nutrition role of ayurveda in pregnancy,ayurveda approach to the management of of anaemia in women,panchakarma in women’s health etc.

 

The event also discusses ‘ayurveda in current infectious diseases’,sports medicine ayurveda,ayurveda in rehabilitative medicine,beauty care in ayurveda,cancers breast,cervical and gynecological,cardiac diseases and ayurveda,clinical research in ayurveda,cosmetology in ayurveda etc.

Maternal health,health and nutrition section section covers the issue extensively.

 

Medical application of Yoga is another area of discussion in the seminar.

Medical plants and conservation,pharmaceutics research in ayurveda,pregnancy pre natal to post natal,public health through ayurveda any many more papers open a vista of advanced knowledge in ayurveda.
