National Testing Agency is conducting JEE Main 2019 examinations.The agency is working under Human Resource Development ministry.11,09250 students have registered for the examination being conducted between January 8 and January 12.However,many candidates lost their chance to attend the examination due to the 48 hours strike by trade unions.
Out of the 452574 candidates registered for BE/B.Tech 132638 are girls. Most of these girls students are the worst-affected as the public transportation halt as the result of the general strike.
84438 students have registered for B.Arch/B Planning.Out of these 36957 candidates are girls.
Even if the union leaders do not bar private vehicles,how many of theses applicants possess vehicles since their testing centers are based in major cities? ask parents of some of the students who skipped the examination due to the general strike trouble.
Many parents raise their genuine concern that their wards must get another chance to attend the examination as the government is well-aware of the national strike,announced well in advance.
It is the first chance of engineering /IIT aspirants to test NTA examination in online mode.Many parents complained that they could not contact NTA authorities in the phone numbers provided in the NTA website.
“The government and the agency is responsible to give JEE aspirants,who are unable to attend tests on these strike days another chance.”-says Bindu Tejas, a parent from Kerala.
She said that her kid skipped the exam by realizing the difficultly to reach test centers since the railroad services are badly hit.
“We don’t have vehicle to reach exam center.There are thousands of parents like me who are compelled to skip the exam.”-she said.
Many JEE aspirants are disappointed in the development.
