Heavy rain: govt.issues alert message
South-west monsoon has intensified in Kerala.Due to the continuous downpour,the district administration has issued alert message.
As per the weather updates from the Meteorological department ,Kozhikode district will be receiving heavy rainfall until June 29.
The district administration has issued alert message to the public to avoid casualties during the monsoon time.
- Do not take bath in rivers because there are chances of flash floods from hill sides and high ranges.
- Be very careful during night journeys through high ranges as chances of landslides occur.
- Avoid vehicles,parking under trees.
- Tourists are advised to stay off beach .
A control room is functional in the district and taluk level to co-ordinate emergency situation in the monsoon time.
