It was a day of happiness and victory for Hiba Fathima, a tenth standard student of Farook Higher Secondary School, Farook College, who has secured first prize in the Embroidery competition at the state school work experience fair (on the spot) conducted as part of the recently concluded State Schools Sasthrolsavam in Kollam.
Though highly proficient, Hiba had not qualified herself for the state level competitions at the Kozhikode district work experience fair.
Highly confident of her performance, she made an appeal to the authorities of the education department and sought permission to participate in the state fair.
With the green signal from the department, she attended the fair and made it to the first prize with A grade securing 273 marks in the Embroidery category in a keen competition at the event.
The skill and proficiency of Hiba in embroidery was detected by her work experience teacher;Jasmine of the Farook Higher secondary school.
