ICHR chairman says resignation is just ‘personal’

Indian Council of Historical Researches (ICHR) chairman Prof.Y. Sudershan Rao clarifies that his resignation is just personal and not on the grounds of honorarium.
In a press statement he said all other reports were baseless allegations.
“No communication has received from the Human Resources Department ministry on those grounds.”
He said that there was no differences of opinion between himself and the ministry.
There were reports that Prof.Rao had resigned when the government denied 1.5 lakh monthly honorarium.
In his press note he expressed his thanks to Minister Smrithy Irani for appointing him to the covetous position.
“During my tenure I have done enough ground work for streamlining the pending projects and streamlining new projects.”-said Prof. Rao.
” I visited the length and breadth of India during my office days.It has taxed my health,heavily.”
“If I continue the position it would affect my ability to do full justice to do my role.Hence,I requested the minister to relieve me.”-Professor said.
