IIA national meet in Kozhikode
The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) national meet has begun at Kadavu Resort in Kozhikode on Friday.
Around 1000 architects and experts in urban planning will participate in the two day event,said the organizers in a press meet. Various IIA awards in the sector will be given away on the occasion.
“We have got 500 entries from across the country for IIA award 2015.”-said Tony Joseph,Convener IIA awards.
Architects Calicut chapter will organize critical thinking,implementation based Crossroad forum also.
Crossroads-2016 is another attraction of the event. It is a platform for critical thinking and ideation in the filed of architecture and urbanizm.
“The discussion is about the impact of quality architecture on people from all walks of life and its increasing significance in the development of the nation.”-said Brijesh Shaijal Chairman of IIA Calicut.
Noted architects Peter Rich (South Africa), Madhura Prema Tilleke (Sri Lanka), Solano Benitez (Parguay) will present papers in the summit.
