Independence Day celebrations

The country celebrated its 74th Independence Day. ADM Roshni Narayanan hoisted the national flag and greeted the crowd at the district level Independence Day Parade at Westhill Captain Vikram Maidan. There were four platoons of police, excise and forest divisions. The ceremony was held in full compliance with Covid safety standards.
Health workers and hygienists, including doctors, nurses and paramedics, attended the ceremony in recognition of their outstanding service in the fight against infectious diseases. Independence Day celebrations were held without admission.
All the participants were subjected to thermal scanning at the entrance. Deputy Mayor Meera Darshak, Rural SP Dr. A. Srinivas and others were present. The Vice-Chancellor said that the workers and volunteers are doing this during the Covid period and they are gratefully remembered. Due to Covid restrictions, only a limited number of officials attended the ceremony.

He was delivering the Independence Day message after hoisting the national flag at Calicut University. The Vice-Chancellor said that the health workers and volunteers are doing the same work that we have done to maintain our independence and we remember them with gratitude. Due to Covid restrictions, only a limited number of officials attended the ceremony.
