Kerala Media Academy: Media Club Navothana Sargotsavam

 

Kerala Media Academy is conducting a state level “Navothaana Sargotsavam”,loosely translated as Creative festival of Renaissance for school students. The event will take place at Tagore Theater in Thiruvananthapuram on January 27, Sunday.The fest is being supported by the General Education Department.

Students can participate in the Renaissance song recitation, Drawing competition as well as Group dance performances. The Sargotsavam is a part of the Media Club formed by the Media Academy and Education department.

Renaissance of Kerala and conservation of its values is the message conveyed by the Sargotsavam. First prize winners will get
Chief Minister’s trophy along with ₹40,000 for the Group Dance performance. ₹30,000 and ₹20,000 are the second and third prize respectively.

Chief Minister’s trophy along with ₹25,000 will be given as first prize for Drawing as well as Song recitation competition. ₹15,000 and ₹10,000 will be given as second and third prize respectively. Certificates also will be issued.

Renaissance of Kerala is the subject for the group dance competition. Students who received an A grade in the State Youth festival are  eligible for the competition.

The Drawing competition will be conducted in two sections: the junior section of L.P. and U.P. students and a Senior section of students from 8th to 12th standard. Post flood affected Kerala is the topic for the Junior students and ‘Renaissance of Kerala’ is the topic for the seniors. The competition will be conducted on January 27, 2019, Sunday between 10:30 to 12:30 in the morning at Tagore Theatre, Thiruvananthapuram. The interested students must register their names before 15th of January.

The Renaissance song recitation competition is for the students upto tenth standard. Songs and poems with the idea or message of Renaissance including patriotic songs from movies can be presented. Songs can be presented in various Indian languages than Malayalam. 30 participants will be selected for the final competition on 27th of January. For the initial stage of the competition a song not exceeding 4 minutes should be recorded in audio format and send  to the Whats App number: 9061593969 or to the email address:
