Governor Justice P.Sathasivam has urged the state to utilise its potential in tourism sector.He underscored the need of promoting Kerala tourism by attracting large number of foreign and North Indian tourists.
He was inaugurating the International Craft Fair at Iringal Craft Village.
“When North Indian states are facing severe cold during December January months,tourists from those places can be attracted to Kerala.During national and international craft expos,Kerala’s crafts should find place-he said.
Kerala’s rich cultural heritage and arts are deeply connected with crafts too.So it has vital role to play in attracting tourists.”-he said.
Crafts have a significant role to play in Indian financial sector-the governor pointed out.
Tourism minister A.P.Anil Kumar presided over the function.
