‘Freedom of expression is applicable to all parties;not just for the Communists alone’-this was the main agenda for supporting Congress MLA VT Balaram’ say BJP state secretary K.Surendran, and Muslim League MLA K.M.Shaji in their FB posts.
Balram’s FB post has become controversial, when he wrote some objectionable comments on AKG’s personal life. AKG was a legendary Communist leader and social reformer.
He is popularly known as ‘crusader of poor’ and has great influence in Kerala society,irrespective of party politics.
Meanwhile,leader of the opposition Ramesh Chennithala condemned the post .KPCC president MM Hassan also criticized Balaram for publishing rubbish comment and declared it was not the culture of Congress party.
Even if K Surendran is supporting Balram,he is in the opinion that personal lives of leaders should not be discussed in public spheres.
UDF leader Dr.M.K.Muneer MLA condemned the attack of T Balram moffice ,allegedly by CPI(M) activists as “fascist” activity.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan lashed out against V.T.Balram for his “senseless”activity and he expressed pity over the Congress leadership,”missing the wisdom to correct the MLA.”-Pinarayi said inhis FB post.
