The Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) took out a protest march to Mathrubhumy office in Kozhikode on Monday.The march began in front of the Calicut Press Club.
The march was in protest against the termination of a senior sub editor C.Narayanan from the post.
KUWJ state president K. Premanath inaugurated the march.
According to the KUWJ sources the termination was an injustice on the part of the newspaper management.
The terminated journalist was in forefront of agitation for the wage board for journalists on the basis of Justice Majithiya committee recommendation.
Vice president V.G.Vijayan presided over the function. General secretary N.Padmanabhan, S.T.U state president Ahammad Kutty Unnikulam, BMS leader K.Gangadharan, CITU district secretary T.Dasan, AITUC leader P.V.Madhavan, KUWJ former president Manoharan Morayi, KUWJ district president Kamal Vardaoor spoke.
