Literacy Mission:189 people attend 7th std equivalency exam

The district Literacy Mission has conducted equivalent exam for seventh standard. 189 adult-literates attended the exam held at 17 centres at various parts of the district.

Among these ,137 were gents and 52 ladies. Calicut city corporation Mayor Prof.A.K.Premajam inaugurated the examination by distributing question papers to the adult learners, at the Meenchantha Gov.Vocational Higher Secondary School, recently.

Ward councillor Devarajan, former councillor Meladi Narayanan, Headmistress Geetha, Deputy Headmistress Janaki, and school P.T.A members joined at the function.

State Literacy Mission (Equivalency) Director S.P.Harihara Unnithan visited the examination centres.

The age group between 16 and 58 attended the exam.

The youngest student was; Muhammad Anzar from Vatakara Municipality  (16) and the senior most was  K.Raveendran (58) from Koduvally block.

School headmasters,literacy mission workers,preraks,people’s representatives supervised the examination.
