Malayalam University will get new library complex
Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University will get new library and research complex, soon.Laying of foundation stone for the proposed building will be held on June 11. Minister for panchayaths K.T.Jaleel will lay the foundation stone.
The two storied building ,with 10,000 sq ft , will have a capacity to stock 50,000 books.Students,research scholars and teachers will have special reading sections.
Digital library,books that are out of print,rare journals and e-journals,e-books are the features of the proposed library.
General public also will get opportunity to use the library. Graduates in Malappuram district, college students,and teachers also can utilize the facility.
Construction works will be completed in three months.
Expected amount is 1.78 crore.FACT-RCF, a public sector agency is in charge of the construction.
