Merchants to go on strike against ‘govt.harassment’

Traders in Kerala will go on a strike from 10 am to 12 pm on NOV 3
On November 3, more than one million traders across the state will hold protest and dharnas at various centers, demanding the abolition of fines and eleven other demands which includes :
Stop GST harassment measures, end bureaucratic practices under the guise of Covid norms, stop flood cess collected in excess of the limit, ban illegal street vendors, withdraw the notices issued on expired VAT and implement the revised tenancy law immediately.
Kerala Traders and Industrialists Coordinating Committee state president T. Nassiruddin,General Secretary Raju Apsara, in a joint statement, stated that as part of the protest, all traders would go on strike on the same day from 10 am to 12 noon
