India’s Community skill park, ‘Kaushal Kendra’ has begun its operation at the Kozhikode Public Library. This is the second centre in Kozhikode.
Labour minister Shibu Baby John inaugurated the Kozhikode centre on Tuesday.
The aim of the Kendra is to make young job seekers in the state, internationally competent-he said.
The project originated in Kerala, became popular and the Prime Minsiter praised the scheme, he said.
“The method that parents deciding children’s career path should change -he said. Kaushal Kendras’ career guidance and assessment centre can nurture talents and tastes inherited in individuals.”
Digital library is the other project. Its aim is to make available all books published across the globe at finger tips.
Vidoe conferencing, multi-skill room for arranging training for students by corporates, language lab with English, German, and French are the other facilities,set here.
Placement Linked Employment Program (PLEP) will begin , soon.This scheme enables students to get training and placement.
