Minister for Labour and Excise T.P.Ramakrishnan has urged the officials concerned to take necessary actions to protect Thamarassery Ghat road.
He was addressing officials in the district development council meeting at Collectorate Conference Hall on Saturday.
“A master plan should be prepared,immediately and avoid all technical hurdles in the project.”
The minister said this, while some officials reported delay in the handing over of forest land for the construction of safety walls on the sides of eighth bend of Thamarassery Ghat road.
The minister directed the officials to implement welfare schemes for tribals communities.
He underscored the need for releasing financial aid to farmers who were hit by the flood.
“Priority to be done in the case of small scale farmers who depend farming as their lively hood.”-he said.
MLA s in the district raised various issues in their constituencies.
District Collector V Sambasiva Rao presided over the function.
