She was interacting with the CNM. She was here to perform in the DTPC Onam celebrations.
“Actually, I don’t want to be stereotyped as most of my roles in Malayalam films. A strong role supported by a good script is my dream.
Presently, I engage in the initial stage of a research in classical dance form. I have just begun the activity.
I am not sure at this point which form of classical dance I should focus on my learning.
I want to balance all my tasks and move simultaneously with my dance and acting.
I won’t compromise any of my profession for my research.”

“I know one thing .I would be running with very hectic schedules until December.”
“My root is connected with dance. That is why I am much passionate about this art.
Still, as an artist I have to entertain my audience whether in dance or in film. The objective is making people, happy.”
When asked, through dance she wanted to have self-realisation, Lakshmi said.
“Somehow, dance helps me to lead to self –realisation.”
Her interests are varied and she doesn’t want to stick on any particular style.
“This is applicable to my films also. Other than acting and dancing, Lakshmi has walking and watching movies into her credit as hobbies. Even if I can’t fulfill my walking hobby in Bangalore, I do it whenever I visit western countries.
In Mumbai also I walk along the streets and watch the lives there. Sometimes, some small shops in distant streets catch my attention. I go walking.
Some small things in life are really awakening interest in me.”
“Frankly speaking, I don’t encourage Television serials even if I have got opportunities to work with some small screen projects. I remember a program in Jaya TV. It was really good.”
“New generation films are dynamic and vibrant for many ways. In that sense I welcome those films too. But any way new generation films should not be superficial. There are some fresh talents and fresh sets of artists in new generation films. ”
