All India Congress Committee vice president Rahul Gandhi severely criticized Narendra Modi government in the centre for protecting the interest of the corporates and ignoring the farmers and poor people of the country.
Through out his speech Rahul attacked Modi for his style of functioning.
He gave a new definition to NAMO-No Action ,Maximum Oratory-
He asked the prime minister to stop oratory and start action.
Rahul said that the land bill was meant for protecting the interests of corporates.
The famer’s land is being handed over to big business people. This is anti-farmer and anti-poor policy. -said Rahul.
He was inaugurating Youth Congress’ state rally in Kozhikode on Tuesday.
Rahul Gandhi said that Modi was functioning as a fashion icon of the country. Majority of Indians who are struggling to meet both their ends do not like it.
“He was spending 10 lakh for his suit. He is travelling from one country to another. But, he is least bothered about India’s poor farmers, and the youth.”
“He had only one pledge that was to please three or four business groups. So itself one can’t expect anything from him in favor of the common men. These corporates were behind his election campaign.”
“Prices of essential commodities are sky rocketing. It is not a Congress allegation. If you want the real truth just ask housewives in the country. They will tell you the situation”- Rahul said.
Modi’s Make in India campaign was just an advertisement in newspapers. Practically nothing is happening-Rahul said.
Rahul sarcastically greeted the Modi government its first birthday .
Rahul said,”I wish the suit boot sarkar , for its first birthday.”
Thousands of Youth Congress activists had assembled at Kozhiokode beach open ground to attend the rally.
Senior Congress leaders A.K.Antony, Vayalar Ravi, P.C.Chacko, K.V.Thomas, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Ministers Ramesh Chennithala, Aryadan Muhammad, Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, A.P.Anil Kumar, Babu, MLAs K. Muraleedharan, P.C.Vishnu Nath, T.N.Prathap, MPs K.Sudhakaran, Mullappally Ramachandran, M.I.Shanavas, Kotikkunnil Suresh were among the leaders who attended the meeting.
Youth Congress state president Dean Kuriakose presided over the function.
