Nanmanda becomes garbage free panchayath

Nanmanda  in Kozhikode became garbage free  village.To make the panchayath, zero garbage ,around ten lorries ,carrying  garbage  have been transported to  Karnataka for disposal and processing.

A.K.Saseendran M.L.A. flagged  off the garbage disposal program. Around 22 lorries of waste has been moved to Karnataka for processing both the bio- waste and the non-bio wastes.

How it works?

With the support of various political parties, ward committees were formed.A volunteer was appointed for ten houses among the Kudumbasree.

These group conducted awareness classes at houses.

They collect garbage from houses and store at one point and later transported to processing centres in Karnataka.
