NEET-UG 2020 result on Oct 16;one more test on Oct 14 for absentees due to Covid-19
Students who missed the test of September 13 can take the test on October 14.The NEET UG 2020 result will be out on October 16.
The Supreme Court on Monday allowed NEET test to be conducted on October 14 for students who missed the exam on September 13 due to COVID-19 or due to being stuck in containment zones.
A bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice of India passed this order on the request of Solicitor General of India, Thushar Mehta,legal sources told CNM.
The NEET UG 2020 result will be declared on October 16,the Solicitor General informed the court.
The National Testing Agency conducted NEET UG 2020 on Sept 13 at various cities across the country.Many students had plead the agency as well as the Supreme Court to postpone the test in the wake of rapid increase in Covid- 19 positive cases.However,the NTA went ahead with test and the SC rejected the postponement plea.
As per the NTA statistics,about 88% of NEET aspirants attended the Sep 13 test.15.97 lakh students had registered for the test.
NEET UG is the national level entrance test to select MBBS and BDS students.NEET score is also considered for some other national level medical and allied courses and professional courses such as agriculture.
