Health Minister KK Shailaja Teacher has said that there will be no compromise on restrictions in the wake of continuous surge in Covid-19 cases. The Minister was speaking to the media after the review meeting held at Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
As a result of collective action, the death rate and the positive rate in the state have been reduced. It was made possible by the efforts of health professionals from PHCs to medical colleges.
People have had to go out en masses as part of the election. More vigilance is needed this month. Care must be taken to reduce crowds.
People with minor symptoms can be treated at home. The respective local bodies should ensure that the houses have the required facilities. Those who do not have facilities at home will be shifted to CFLTCs. Ensure that all people over the age of 60 have been vaccinated. A special campaign will be launched for this. Steps will be taken to ensure 100 per cent vaccination in each panchayat. The minister said special attention would be paid to dealing with the post-Covid difficulties.
