Onam celebrations to begin on Monday
Onam festival in Kozhikode district will begin on Monday at various places. Programs are being organized by the District Administration and Tourism Promotion Council.
There will be five venues in Kozhikode city including Tagore Hall;the main venue.Town Hall,BEM School,Kuttichira are other venues in the district.
Dance program,Deva Bhoomika by actress Asha Sharath and 40 member team will be the major attraction of the program at the main venue on the opening day.
Ramesh Narayanan is the music director of the mega event,depicting Kerala culture.
Minister A.K.Saseendran will inaugurate the program.
Lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Nampoothiri will be the chief guest. MPs M.K.Raghavan,Elamarom Kareem,A.Pradeep Kumar MLA,M.P.Veerendra Kumar will speak on the occasion
Various music,sports and games events are being organized at various venues.
