Eight theatre artistes from Palastine who are currently on a 10-city tour in India with a mission to garner support for the Palestinian cause through their touring theatre ‘Freedom Jatha’, performed “Hamesha Saamida” (Always Steadfast), a play in collaboration with Jana Natya Manch, a Delhi-based amateur theatre company at Calicut University on Sunday.
The 30 minute duration drama which was staged on the Calicut University campus synchronizing the performance of Palestine artists in Arabic and the Jana Natya Manch artists in Hindi was an attractive feat for the large audience who gathered to witness the programme.

It is the first Indo- Palestine theatre collaboration in which 21 artists including eight from the Palestine Freedom Theatre take part. Hamesha Saamida is the first indo-Palestinian theatre collaboration. The artists of both the countries depicted the happenings of Palestine. The group has covered major cities in India.
The troupe will leave Kerala after staging one more performance in Kozhikide on Monday.
