Passengers complain against Railway Squad
Many regular commuters have complained against one of the junior squads taking duty in Kozhikode.
“Apart from charging huge fines from regular season ticket holders, this railway employee misbehaved with passengers”,said Gopikrishnan.T.P,a regular passenger from Kozhikode to Vatakara.
Most of the senior squad members on duty give consideration to season ticket passengers.During the inspection time these travellers are either directed to leave the reservation compartment from next stoppage station onward.
They are exempted from charging huge fines on humanitarian considerations.
However, the one mentioned above is shouting at passengers and without listening to their grievance, charge them with huge amounts.
One of the passengers said he was charged with a fine of Rs.420 see the photo)as a fine for boarding reservation coach of Nizamudhin bound Mangala Express on 21 February evening.
He was travelling from Kozhikode to Vatakara.
Some of the railway passengers said it was an inhuman attitude on the part of senseless officials in the railway.
He said that he lost a full day’s earning by paying the fine.
Even if he tried to convince the Squad,he didn’t ready to listen.
“I got in the sleeper coach as the general compartment was packed with passengers.”-he said.
“The same Squad shouted and evicted a family consisting ladies and small children bound to Payyannur at Vatakara station for accidentally boarding reserved compartment with unconfirmed ticket.
Passengers at Vatakara station warned this Squad for his inhuman behaviour,earlier”-said T.K.Sajith,another regular passenger from Vatakara.
