Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kozhikode city on Tuesday to attend the Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF).The P.M will inaugurate the Vision Conclave, one of the main attractions of the event. Tight security measures have been arranged in the city and Swapna Nagari ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit.
He will reach at the Swapna Nagari venue at 12 noon.
The central force has taken over the venue by Monday evening.
Union Minister for Ayush Shripad Yasso Naik will preside over the function.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, ministers and top leaders will participate in the function.
The festival has become a matter of attraction and thousands of visitors are flowing to the venue to attend seminars and watch the expo.
Foreign delegates share their knowledge and experience in the age old Indian treasure of healing.
A business meet was held in connection with the festival on Monday.
It was an opening of the world of opportunity to the Ayurveda practitioners and business entrepreneurs alike.
Many dignitaries including researchers and business people from India and abroad attended the business meet and seminar held on Monday.
Noted writer M.T.Vasudevan inaugurated a solidarity meet as part of the meet on Monday.
He said the Ayurveda fraternity to collaborate with modern medicine. Both systems are to go hand in hand by sharing and updating latest knowledge.
The two treatments systems are not rivals-he said.
Film actress Manju Warrier was the chief guest. Malayalam University Vice Chancellor K.Jaya Kumar presided over the function.
