The Poll Manager application was launched to facilitate the coordination of election activities and to make important information related to voting available at the district level quickly. The poll manager, a mobile app, is set to be used by officials on polling day and the day before. The App has 21 pre-determined questionnaires for this.
Each stage of the election is quickly notified by officials through the Poll Manager app in the district-level control room. It will also update the information every hour from the moment the polling materials are received until they reach the polling station after the polling. The District Election Officer will then evaluate the election progress through the Poll Manager Portal.
The Poll Manager app for Presiding Officer, First Polling Officer and Sectoral Officer and the portal system for Returning Officers are set up to update the information. Returning officers will enter information on the portal using the mobile number registered for election duty.
Officials will log in and update the information through the phone number registered after downloading the poll manager app. The app can be opened using OTP coming to the mobile phone.
The App will record mock polling, hourly polling percentages, voter turnout, specially reported cases, and so on until the end of voting. The poll manager also has the facility to notify the concerned authorities about unforeseen incidents, EVM malfunction, law and order and polling disruption. The poll manager coordinates the activities of the National Informatics Center. A team of 11 people is working for this. In addition, nodal officers are responsible for coordinating activities at the block, municipal and corporation levels.
