How to bring back the holistic life style? This was the question asked many times and answered differently.People’s Movement for Social Justice (PMSJ) is trying to re-invent the good old days of holistic life style for attaining sustainable development.
The movement also underscores the need of decentralized system in a transparent manner. The organisation launches an awareness campaign with a wide variety of socio-cultural events at the Kozhikode town hall on Monday (20-04-2015)
PMSJ state general secretary Ad.K.K.Bavila said many people are still ignorant about their rights.
“It is a reality that many downtrodden people are still ignorant about their rights and benefits they are entitled.Even if we use Whats App and other social media platforms ,many good things are unnoticed or ignored. The marginalized community is being exploited by middlemen. So,we want to create an awareness of people’s rights, their health,etc.”-Bavila said.
“Many prohibited medicines, food items are largely sold in India.Even in the educated state like Kerala ,many multi-national brands, banned in Western countries find place in market. Many dangerous food items are sold here. People have to be aware of the banned food items ,especially many junk foods sold in large number.”-she said.
There will be a seminar on Men-Society-Soil-Nature at 10 am and awareness classes on life-style diseases.
‘Implement decentralization’ is another slogan of the program.
Physicians from Anandaveda Ayurveda Hospital will lead classes.
Green activist Prof.Shobeendran will address the seminar.
There will be cookery show, photo and poster exhibition,Sufi music as part of the event.
