In the wake of torrential rain forecast,the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued high alert in few districts in Kerala in coming days.
In Kozhikode,there will be extremely heavy rain on July 22.
Malappuram,Wayanad and Kannur districts also will have red alert on the same day,said IMD authorities.
As per the forecast,there are possibilities of flash-floods and landslides in these districts.
204 mm rain is expected in 24 hours on the warning day. Government and other service agencies are asked to be highly alert to meet any emergency situation.
Relief cum shelter camps are already set ready in high alert districts.
The monsoon has intensified in Kerala since last few days. The heavy downpour is reported in northern districts of Kerala.
